Apply a slow-release balanced fertilizer in early spring to encourage healthy, vigorous growth.
Water
Water deeply once or twice a week during the first growing season, then as needed during prolonged dry periods.
Prune
Lightly prune in late winter or early spring to shape and remove any dead or crossing branches, avoiding heavy cuts into old wood.
Exposure
Plant in full sun, giving it at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal color and density.
